Tucked behind Green Park in genteel St. James's, The Stafford has the air of a country house yet is just a short walk away from many famous landmarks and shopping areas that make up the heart of London. Classic heritage design meets modern day luxury. The Stafford is renowned for its personal and professional service together with a homely atmosphere.

A transformation that began in December 2010 has completed in May 2011 and is now revealing a refreshed look after spending £6 million re-designing the whole ground floor of the Main House, as well as renovating 24 bedrooms and suites, still preserving their typical traditional English charm including high ceilings and decorative fireplaces.

In the Stafford Mews, our more contemporary wing, featuring suites only, décor is in an elegant yet quintessentially British style.
Be inspired by The Carriage House - the more traditional of our wings. These converted stables feature the original stable doors and wooden beams, facing onto the picturesque courtyard.
Each room offers modern security systems, climate control air conditioning, satellite television, a CD player and US style adaptors. With the business traveler in mind, there is also computer modem and fax plugs, wireless Internet connection, personal message facilities and a full valet service available.
Our in house gym is available 24/7 or alternatively all rates include membership to The Third Space; a fantastic high tech fitness club complete with ozone treated swimming pool, located a 10 minute walk away.
There are 4 Private meeting rooms on the ground floor, which can accommodate from 2 to 25 guests boardroom style or up to 40 guests theatre style. Each of the Private Dining rooms has been elegantly re-designed with a number of unique period features.

The fabulous 380 year old wine cellars provide a unique and very atmospheric venue for private events for up to 44 people seated and 65 standing. Wine tastings are popular carried out by our Master Sommelier.
Our new restaurant ‘The Lyttelton' pays homage to Lord and Lady Lyttelton, who owned the property in the 19th Century. The restaurant has moved away from traditional fine dining to offer a casually elegant, welcoming atmosphere. Menus feature the recently appointed Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes' rustic British cuisine, focusing on seasonal offerings sourced mainly from British suppliers.

The American Bar is very popular especially in the Summer when guests can dine outside in the courtyard.
